Offshore Grid Working Group

 

On December 12th 2014 Polish Offshore Wind Energy Society (PTMEW) appointed Offshore Grid Working Group to prepare planning assumptions for the concept of integrated development of offshore grid, including the connection of offshore wind farms to the grid on land and cross-border transmission with the use of the so-called ‘Baltic Rail’.
 
 
Invitation to participate in works  of the Group was accepted by the Maritime Administration representatives and experts in the field of energy and marine issues, including representatives of scientific and research institutions: Technical University of Gdansk, Gdansk Maritime Institute, Institute of Power Engineering, the Institute of Electrical Engineering and the Institute of Oceanology in Polish Academy of Sciences and Polish transmission network operator PSE S.A.


The team is also featured by  key suppliers of technology and know-how:  Siemens, ABB, DNV-GL, Energoprojekt-Kraków, TELE-FONIKA Cables, as well as investors and developers who develop projects of the offshore wind farms in Poland, including the PGE Energia Odnawialna (Renewables), Energa Wytwarzanie (Generation), PKN Orlen, Generpol, BTI, Baltex.
